Leadership Change

Friends Executive Director has accepted a new position at The Dallas Foundation as the Senior Director of Donor Engagement. In her new role, Kezia will serve as the foundation’s liaison to new Supporting Organizations and manage the donor services team.

“We wish her our very best and thank her sincerely for the outstanding way she built a philanthropic foundation for the FRIENDS of BOMLA” said Founding Board Chair, Lyria Howland.

“We are better prepared today, than at any time in our nine-year history to take our work to a higher level. Kezia’s leadership, professionalism and true love for our mission and the BOMLA community will be challenging to replace. We are greatly comforted in the knowledge that FRIENDS of BOMLA has a permanent place in Kezia’s heart and mind.”

During her 4-year tenure, Kezia raised more than a million dollars, including multi-year funding for a full time College Bound Advisor, school wide college visits and SAT/ACT Test Prep. She successfully managed four North Texas Giving Day campaigns and increased the organization’s assets by more than 450%. From securing professional development for faculty, to ensuring state of the art technology for the campus, the impact of Kezia’s time at Friends will be seen for years to come.

Interested applicants should send a resume and cover letter to employment@bomlafriends.org by October 29. No phone calls, please.
