FRIENDS Welcomes Director of Development
In 2016, BOMLA received a generous 3-year grant from the Harold Simmons Foundation to fund its first full time position. The Director of Development will leverage previous fundraising support and find future fundraising avenues in the years to come to enable achievement without limits.
FRIENDS welcomes Kezia W. Stegemoeller after four years of service at St. Mark’s School of Texas, an independent day school for boys in Dallas. While at St. Mark’s, Kezia strategically grew the schools’s social media presence and managed the school’s reunion program, which accounts for a significant percentage of gifts to the school’s $3.4 million annual fund. In addition to advancement, Kezia became the Assistant Director of Community Service and furthered the mission of the school by helping students impact their communities through service. She holds bachelor’s degrees in journalism and public relations from the University of Texas at Austin and a Business certificate from the McCombs School of business. Kezia moved to Dallas to earn her Master’s of Public Affairs with a concentration in Nonprofit Management from the University of Texas at Dallas. While in graduate school, Kezia was a substitute teacher for DISD and worked at Communities Foundation of Texas. She lives in Uptown with her husband, a teacher at St. Mark’s.
