David Johns Connects with BOMLA Students During His Dallas Visit
BOMLA Community Welcomes
White House Education Leader David Johns
Greetings FRIENDS!
In case you missed it, earlier this month the Executive Director for the White House Initiative on Education Excellence for African Americans, David Johns visited BOMLA to speak with the Brothers.
Mr. Johns “discuss[ed] best practices that have demonstrated success in accelerating learning and development opportunities… [He also] share[d] lessons learned from the Initiative to support the cognitive, social and emotional development of African-American students.”
BOMLA students, teachers, and staff are doing such amazing work! Receiving encouragement from this national leader is a powerful reminder to the BOMLA community that there are many opportunities for us to continue our support and development as FRIENDS.
